Featured Pets this week:

This week only, they are both dog and cat of the week, which means there is $50 off Walter’s adoption fee. His adoption fee would be $50,  and $20 off Golden’s adoption fee. His adoption fee is $15.

GOLDEN:  Tabby (Orange)  Adult  Male  Medium

MY STORY: Golden was brought to Cedar Bend after his owner passed away.

AGE: Golden is about 3 years old.

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: If you come to visit Golden, he will probably perched on the very top of the cat tree. He is usually snoozing and dreaming of the perfect family to come and adopt him. He loves to play with toys, especially little mice on a toy wand! He is very sweet, and loves to be petted. He would love to find a home soon!

Adoption fee: $35 – Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and a start on flea/tick prevention

WALTER

MY STORY: This sweet old boy arrived to Cedar Bend after being found as a stray in Black Hawk County.

AGE: Walter is about 9 years old.

MY STRENGTHS AND CHALLENGES: Walter is an older boy who wants to find a home that has someplace soft for him to take long naps. He is a guy who loves to get scratches, and seems to do well with adults and mature children. He can occasionally be dominant when around other dogs, however, it is only to let them know that he is the boss. He should meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption. It is unknown if Walter has some hearing problems, or if he has selective hearing. He occasionally would rather do his own “Walter” thing, and not listen every once in a while. He is a sweet, gentle old boy, though! Walter is also a dog that becomes possessive of his “home.” This being said, he may do best in a home with few visitors or low-foot traffic. It may be best to have Walter confined to a separate room or kennel if visitors come. Visitors should greet Walter with a tasty treat in the mean time to let him know that they are “safe.”

WHAT TYPE OF HOME AM I SEARCHING FOR: Walter is looking for a home where he can get plenty of scratches and nap time. He would love someone who gives him a little TLC. When Walter arrived to Cedar Bend, he was missing a significant amount of fur on his rump area. It is unknown what caused this hair loss, however, it is believed that he had some old wounds that caused the fur loss. His wounds have all healed, and he is left with some scarring. He may not have the most beautiful coat, but he has one sweet, heart! Stop by to see this lovable boy!

Adoption fee: $100 – Adoption fee include spay/neuter, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and a start on flea/tick prevention.
