Mary Jo Juel

Happy Time Preschool

As the family of four active boys, all whom have attended or are still attending Happy Time Preschool, we would like to nominate Mary Jo Juel as Teacher of the Week. This year we have handed her the task of working with the unknown. Over the summer our five-year-old son was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentoisa, which has left him with extremely limited vision. Even before the school year started, Mrs Juel started making her room more accommodating for Jax. We are also guardians for a five year old with special needs in his social skills. In addition to embracing our visually-impaired won with open arms, shw also welcome this child to Jaxs class, since someone whose voice he knew might help him acclimate to the classroom. Needless to say, her days have become even busier than they were. While teaching her Pre K class, she must also deal with finding the necessary help from AEA 267, attending meetings, and totally devoted to helping each child in her classroom; and with her faith and devotion as to what is right for each child, we feel that she deserves this honor for making Pre K a fulfilling experience for both the children and their parents.
