EXTREME HAIR: DUSK TO DAWN FRIENDS OF THE HEARST PRESENT
EXTREME HAIR: DUSK TO DAWN
Friends of the Hearst and the James & Meryl Hearst Center for the Arts invite you to attend Cedar Falls’ first-ever competitive hair show. “Extreme Hair: Dusk to Dawn” features ten local Cedar Valley salons competing for the People’s Choice Best of Show Award with their interpretation of the theme Dusk to Dawn. The fundraiser will take place from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Oster Regent Theatre on Sunday, April 21. Bob Westerman, 93.5 The Mix Morning Show Co-host, will serve as emcee of the show. General admission tickets are available for $25.00 at the James & Meryl Hearst Center for the Arts and participating salons. All proceeds will benefit the arts in the Cedar Valley. Tickets will grant guests access to both the show and the reception. During the show, the audience will be able to take notes so they can cast their vote for the salon they think deserves the Best in Show Award. Votes will be tabulated while the audience enjoys refreshments in the Deery Room; guests are encouraged to return to the auditorium where, after a short break, the winning salon will be announced.
Participating salons include College of Hair Design; Jiva SalonSpa; Kate’s on Main; La’ James International College; LBL; O’Hana Salon & Spa; Salon Divas; Salon Elite; Shampoo the Salon; and Sparkle Salon. Members of the audience will have the chance to win $100 gift baskets donated by Alter Ego; Hair Envy; Hair It Is Style Salon; Spotlight Style Boutique & Salon; and Tangos a Salon. You decide which salon wins the grand prize package contributed by Boudoir by Robyn Lynn and Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo, but you must be present to vote. Come enjoy an afternoon of extreme competition featuring hairstyles, costumes, make-up, and music, provided by Cedar Valley hairstylists. Show your support for local Cedar Valley businesses and the Arts by attending what is sure to be one of the hottest shows of the year. This show is presented by the Friends of the Hearst. Co-sponsors are Boudoir by Robyn Lynn; Edible Arrangements; Cookie Crave; Darren Winkowitsch; Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo; Scratch Cupcakery; The Wild Hare American Bar & Grill; and 93.5 the Mix.
