Hawkeye Community College is hosting a Powder Fun Run/Walk on Tuesday, April 23, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Participants will get splashed with non-toxic, safe, and environmentally friendly color powder as they run/walk the 5K course to a colorful, tie-dyed finish. T-shirts are available for $10, and it is suggested that interested individuals order in advance. Proceeds for the Run/Walk will benefit student scholarships at the college. The registration form is located at www.hawkeyecollege.edu/go/5K

This event begins on the college’s main campus at the Health Education and Services Center (HESC), located on the northwest side of campus. The day of the run/walk, registration is 5:30-6:15 p.m. A Post Event Party will be held from 6:50 - 8:00 p.m. at the HESC, where participants can show off their colorful new look! Bring your family for food, games, and music.
For the 5K, there is a $10 registration fee and the envelope must be postmarked by April 19. For those registering the day of the Run/Walk, the fee is $15. The 5K Fun Run/Walk begins at 6:30 p.m.
