There are approximately 2000 days beteween birth and the first day of kindergarten. The first
2000 days of a child’s life can have a profound and lifelong impact on physical and emotional
wellbeing, readiness to learn and succeed, and ability to become a productive citizen. The
Phelps Youth Pavilion is a children’s museum filled with creative, hands-on experiences for all
ages, toddlers on up. Through art and culture, the Youth Pavilion offers young ones a safe
place to play, create, explore, learn and grow.
The Waterloo Center for the Arts is located in downtown Waterloo at 225 Commercial Street.
The Center works in partnership with the community to build a stronger appreciation for the
arts and to provide cultural experiences for people of all ages. For more information, call (319)
