Polling place workers are needed for the June 3rd Primary Election. Precinct Election Officials are required to be registered voters in Black Hawk County. A two-hour School of Instruction will be held for this election and attendance is required. The election is June 3 from 8:00 until 5:00 p.m. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
An AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer is needed at Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging. This volunteer will be responsible for the Lifelong Links Aging and Disability Resource Center. An AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer must be a college graduate, age 18 and over, and will be considered a full time volunteer with a stipend and benefits. The program runs from 08/04/2014 - 08/03/2015. The deadline for application is June 5.
Children’s Cancer Connection is inviting volunteers to be a part of Camp Heart Connection summer camp program for children affected by cancer from June 7 - 14. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
