Waterloo Man Sentenced to Probation
A 43-year old Waterloo man has been sentenced to probation on fraud charges in Black Hawk County District Court. Anthony Wilson was a counselor at Heal the Family, Incorporated. He pleaded guilty last month to second degree fraud for billing for false visits. Wilson had been providing counseling services with the company for an area family. He allegedly billed for three months of services that occurred after he completed working with the family. Investigators said he charged $2300 to Medicaid for "false" counseling sessions from December 2009 through February of 2010. Wilson was sentenced to five years in prison, but it was suspended to probation for five years.
